Kia ora Sydney,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Rachel and I am working with the Summer Learning Journey (SLJ) programme this year. It is great to see that you have posted three activities for the SLJ already this year. Way to go!
I have enjoyed reading all three posts and, particularly, enjoyed this Tane Mahuta blog post as I was able to follow your suggestion and to learn more about Tane Mahuta by typing the name into Google on my computer. I learned that it is between 1250 and 2500 years old. Wow! That is pretty ancient (old), isn't it? I wonder what New Zealand was like thousands of years ago. What do you think it would have been like in New Zealand when Tane Mahuta was just a young seedling? I think that it would have been very different to the modern country that we now call home.
Speaking of New Zealand, I hope that you are able to join us this summer for more great learning about this wonderful country. We have 60 activities ready and waiting for you to try. Each time you complete an activity you will earn points. You have already earned 12 points. I hope that you can hop back online soon and earn even more!
Until then, have a wonderful holiday with your family and your friends.
Warm wishes,
Rachel
